The original Southampton High School opened in the fall of 1955 with an enrollment of 332. In 1970 Southampton High merged with Riverview High School and became the only public high school in the school district. The current school opened its doors in 1993 with an initial enrollment of 773 students.
The 2021-22 school year is a year of new beginnings. School pride is stronger and wiser even in the midst of COVID-19. Stakeholder involvement embraces opportunities for equity and diversity in course offerings, partnerships and initiatives. College and career readiness are at the forefront of identifying and maintaining an array of student opportunities. A commitment to expanding excellence in student achievement, academic rigor, and athletic competitiveness frames a school culture of collaboration, cohesion, and of camaraderie. Go Big Red!
