Dr. Robert Parsons is currently serving as an Assistant Principal at Southampton High School. 

Dr. Parsons is a Hampton Roads native, growing up in Chesapeake and attending Deep Creek High School where he graduated with honors.

He received his Associates Degree from Tidewater Community College, Bachelors in Mathematics from Old Dominion University. His graduate degrees include a Masters Degree in Administration & Supervision and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Administration & Supervision, both from Old Dominion University, and his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.

Dr. Parsons has served in education for many years in the role of teacher (honored as Teacher of the Year), assistant principal, middle school principal, high school principal, district-level administrator, alternative education administrator, virtual education administrator, exceptional education administrator, career and technical education administrator, and professional development consultant, among other roles.

Dr. Parsons also has a passion for the performing arts, having performed as a dancer, choreographer, singer, and actor on many occasions. He can be found cheering for the Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Cowboys during their seasons. In his spare time, he loves to cook, watch comedies on TV, and travel.
