Capron Elementary was built in 1954. Since that construction a cafeteria has been added to the facility. The school has served grades k-2, k-6 and presently serves 180 grades PK- 5 students.

Capron Elementary School is located on Route 58 / Southampton Parkway about 10 miles west from the town of Courtland and 24 miles east of the city of Emporia.
